family-friendly sessions that support you in this season
Are you a psychologist parent in a season of life where you’re prioritising your young family and working in the margins of parenting?
Perhaps you’re on parental leave and don’t have access to your usual peer consultation or have cases to discuss. You might be in a busy or demanding stage of parenting littlies and you’ve scaled your practice right down to a handful of clients. Maybe you’re a psychologist parent setting up more flexible alternatives to 1:1 services and aren’t seeing clients right now.
Whatever your situation is, it can be difficult to find peer consultation that aligns with your needs when you’re working in a different way to the majority.

Join an online group that meets your current peer consultation needs
This is a peer consultation group for up to 4 other members, where for whatever reason, you’re working significantly reduced hours whilst you prioritise the needs of your young family.
I offer sessions fortnightly and host online for convenience. The group is relaxed and flexible; if you can make it that week- great! But if life gets in the way, that’s ok and you can aim for the next session. Each meeting is family-friendly- there’s no need for babysitters.
We can cover discussion topics like:
- reflections on how our experiences as a parent impact our professional practice and vice versa
- the unique challenges associated with putting our professional knowledge of theories of development into practice in daily life
- issues related to psychological practice (case consultation, ethics, marketing etc.)
- the challenges of meeting self-care needs as a psychologist parent
- sharing resources relevant to practice
This group contributes towards my peer consultation requirements so I participate as a group member rather than ‘supervise’. But I take on all the administrative tasks (see inclusions list) so that you only need to show up as the compassionate psychologist that you are!
