Sometimes it can be difficult to determine whether or not information and parenting guides are grounded in research, and are therefore trustworthy. The following list of websites provide evidence-based information (i.e. good quality information) on a range of topics related to common parenting issues.
The Raising Children Network is a government supported website reviewed by experts on a range of parenting topics. They offer reliable information from birth to adulthood, and provide free webinars and videos about parenting techniques.
ParentWorks is a free government funded parenting program for parents of children between the ages of two and sixteen. It involves watching a series of videos on evidence-based parenting techniques.
Smalltalk is an online resource for parents of children from birth up until school-age. It provides parents with evidence-based methods of supporting their child’s learning and development.
This is an American-based website developed by the American Psychological Association. The information is research-backed and covers issues related to children, adolescents and families. Information is divided into mind, body, emotions, and relationships to make it easy to navigate and find what is most relevant to you and and your family.
